About Me
Dr. Vicki Chiang, PSY21136
It’s so nice to meet you!
Hi, I’m Dr. Vicki Chiang, a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience supporting parents, women, adults, and culturally diverse individuals and families.
For 18 years, I served as Clinical Director of the Institute of Girls' Development, where I specialized in supporting women, parents, and schools through therapy, consultation, and education. I have also spent more than a decade providing parenting workshops, professional trainings, and school consultations throughout the Los Angeles area, helping communities navigate the evolving mental health needs of children, teens, and families.
As a Chinese American psychologist and daughter of immigrants, I have a deep understanding of the complexities of identity, cultural expectations, and intergenerational relationships. I also bring the perspective of being a parent raising children in the San Gabriel Valley and understand firsthand the unique pressures many families face in today's achievement-driven culture. My goal is to provide a supportive, culturally responsive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with the tools to create meaningful change.
My Approach
I approach therapy as a collaborative partnership grounded in warmth, curiosity, and evidence-based care. Meaningful change happens when you feel safe, understood, and supported.
My goal is to create a nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while feeling empowered to better understand yourself and your path forward.
While I bring clinical expertise and guidance, I believe you are the expert on your own life. Together, we will build on your strengths, identify patterns that may be holding you back, develop practical tools, and work toward goals that reflect your unique values and experiences.
